Hall of Fame
​
Awarded to a DATA member who has made transformative contributions to improve the profession of athletic training throughout the state of Delaware. ​
HOF Description and Nomination Form

Life Saver Award
Awarded to a DATA member who has used a basic life support measure or first aid to save a life in the past year.

Nomination:
Please provide a brief description (200 word max) of the event. Specific names and identifying information for the victim should be omitted.

Innovative Athletic Trainer Award
Awarded to a DATA member who has applied an innovative method or concept directly related to work as an athletic trainer. The innovation may be related to any one of the five practice domains.

Nomination:
Please provide the following information with your submission
  • The innovation that has been implemented
  • Pictures or evidence of the innovation (documents are acceptable if it is business-related)
  • The practice act domain(s) to which the innovates relates to
  • A 300-500 word summary of the innovation, what precipitated the innovation to be developed, struggles and successes in implementing the innovation, and a reflection of what could be done to improve the innovation or make it applicable to other athletic trainers

Outstanding Mentorship Award
Awarded to a DATA member who has gone out of their way to encourage, support, and guide other athletic trainers.

Nomination:
Please provide a 300 word max personal narrative of how the nominee has personally mentored you and has helped you advance your career as an athletic trainer. Nominees should be certified. The nomination may come from a Certified Athletic Trainer who is not a member of the DATA, however the nominee must be a current DATA member.

AT Ally Award
Awarded to a Non-Athletic Trainer that has gone above and beyond to enhance the profession of Athletic Training in the state of Delaware. Their time and talents have been for the betterment of Delaware Athletic Trainers, the profession of Athletic Training, and/or safety and care of the physically active in the state of Delaware.

Nomination:Please provide a 300 word max narrative of how the nominee has demonstrated their support for Delaware Athletic Trainers, the profession of AT, and/or the safety and care of the physically active in the state of Delaware.

​Public Awareness in Athletic Training Award
Awarded to a DATA member who has implemented a public awareness initiative specifically to a group of one of these stakeholders:
  • State legislators
  • School board
  • A healthcare profession other than athletic training (nurses, personal trainers, physicians, OTs, etc)
 
Nomination submission should include:
  • A brief title of the initiative
  • The type of stakeholder the initiative was directed to
  • The medium used for the initiative (in-person, electronic, tabling, social media)
  • A 200-300 word description of the initiative including initial set up, marketing, implementation, and outcome of the initiative
  • Preference for this award will go to submission that include templates so that other DATA members can replicate the initiative

Notes: Executive board members are excluded from this award.
